Elan had a plastic tank. Picked up a good used one from a guy I know over in St Stephen for twenty bucks.

Now I have a 67 black stripe I am also starting to pluck away at, I have cut that tank open to clean it. Not that big of a deal, I have done one before but this time I think I will try using a gasket and a patch with sheet metal screws instead of welding it.
