Dad put a 12x16 edition on the end of the old tractor shed so I would have room for all my MN stored sleds.

I need about a 4" thick slab, with an apron at the entry door. I think somebody here just might know how to calculate that!

at 4 inches, 3.5 and tamp,  80 square feet per yard.

  12x6 is 72 square feet, Make sure you tell dispatch your cutting it close and make sure your base is uniform. or order a yard and a quarter. once you paid the load charge a quarter yard isn't much.
             It really fukks up your day to come up short!

Should I go thicker on the slab or do you think 4" is enough? Will an S10 truck or a 2500lb Ford 8n tractor be too much on it? Should I do some rebar?

80 square feet ay 4" 60 square at 5"

     If you have a real good base 4" should be fine

       toss a few rods in it too, a slab that bid will crack,  ya don't want it to separate
                   12x 16 cut marks ( control joints)  1 down the middle and 2 cuts across 5'4"
  yes and sorry 12x16=192 divide by 80,  2.4 yards you order concrete by the quarter so 2.5 ~ 2.75 to be safe.
